Our commitment is geared towards providing better life for the inmates.

Shields of Gold foundation (SOGF) is a non-governmental organization registered in 2016 in Lagos Nigeria with the goal of providing free legal services and respectful assisted feeding for the prisoners across Nigeria.
At Shields of Gold foundation (SOGF), we aim to promote the freedom, dignity and self-worth of all prisoners, and strive to give them excellent quality of life, as defined by them.

Our core purpose is to liberate inmates from prisons, transform and rehabilitate them into resourceful persons and better citizens of the society by using the instruments of law and the Word.
Overtime we have been able to secure the release of over 100 inmates from prisons since the ministry started in 2014.

Objectives

To reduce the vulnerability of the target group through provision of vocational training and welfare.

To re-orientate the minds of the target group through professional counselling and exposure to morals values.

To freely defend the rights of those who cannot afford the legal fees in seeking redress over their rights violation.

To intervene and end cases of imprisonment without trial and speedily pursue justice delivery, fairness and equity as the case may be

To advocate the implementation of government policies favorable and justifiable to indigents in prison.
